What ages is Tarlatan for?

Tarlatan is designed for children aged 5-11.

What happens during a session?

Every session follows the same simple structure: a guided activity to start (art & craft or cooking), followed by free, unstructured play. Sessions run for 1 hour 50 minutes, Saturday mornings from 9:20-11:10am.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes — spaces are limited, so we'd recommend booking ahead rather than turning up on the day. You can book directly at www.tarlatan.co.uk.

Where do sessions take place?

Kennington Park Centre, 42 St Agnes Place, London, SE11 4AY.

What if my child has allergies or a medical condition?

We ask for full allergy and medical information at the time of booking, and we take this especially seriously given our sessions include cooking. Please make sure this information is accurate and up to date — you can update it any time by contacting us directly.

Is Tarlatan Ofsted registered?

Because our sessions run for under 2 hours, Tarlatan isn't required to register with Ofsted. That said, all our staff hold enhanced DBS checks, complete safeguarding and paediatric first aid training, and we follow the same safeguarding standards you'd expect from a registered provider. If you have any questions about our safeguarding practices, we're always happy to talk them through. As we plan to hold longer sessions in future, we have applied for Ofsted registration.

What should my child wear or bring?

Sessions can get messy, especially during art and cooking activities — old clothes or something they don't mind getting a bit dirty are a good idea. [Confirm: do you want to mention an apron/smock being provided, or ask parents to bring one?]

Can my child with SEN attend?
Everyone is welcome at Tarlatan. As a small, newly-launched team, we ask that you get in touch with us before booking so we can talk through your child's needs together and make sure we can support them well. We'll always do our best to accommodate where possible.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours aren't refundable, as we'll have already committed to staffing and venue costs for the session. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
