These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made with Tarlatan Limited (“Tarlatan”, “we”, “us”, “our”) for sessions, courses, and any other activities we offer. By booking a place for your child, you (“Parent”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.
2.1 All bookings are made and paid for through our booking platform, Class Manager.
2.2 A place is only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
2.3 Prices are as shown at the time of booking. We reserve the right to review and change our prices for future Booking Periods, but any change will not affect a Booking Period you have already paid for.
2.4 Where a Session or activity does not reach the minimum number of children required to run, we reserve the right not to open it, or to offer you a place on our waiting list instead (see Section 4). Where this happens before you have paid, no charge will be made. Where this happens after you have paid, you will receive a full refund.
3.1 If you wish to cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
3.2 Cancellation rights. Because our Sessions take place on a specific date and time, they fall within the "leisure activities" exemption under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and are not subject to the standard 14-day statutory cooling-off period that applies to most online purchases. Instead, the cancellation terms below apply to all bookings.
3.3 Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the start of a Session will receive a full refund.
3.4 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the start of a Session are non-refundable, as we will have already committed to staffing and venue costs based on confirmed numbers.
3.5 For a Booking Period covering multiple Sessions (e.g. a half-term block), the same 48-hour principle applies to the first Session in that block; Sessions already taken are non-refundable regardless of notice given.
3.6 If your child is unable to attend an individual Session due to illness or another reason, we regret that we are not able to offer a refund for that Session, but we will always try to accommodate a reasonable request to move your child to another available Session within the same Booking Period, where space allows.
3.7 If you have a genuine emergency or exceptional circumstance, please contact us — we will always consider requests on a case-by-case basis.
4.1 Where a Session is full, or has not yet been confirmed as running, you may be offered a place on our waiting list.
4.2 No payment is taken for a waitlist place until a spot becomes available and is confirmed with you.
4.3 We will contact you as soon as a place becomes available. Waitlist places are typically offered in the order they were added, though we may use discretion where needed (for example, to balance group sizes or ages).
5.1 We will always try to give as much notice as possible if we need to cancel or change a Session — for example, due to staff illness, venue unavailability, or circumstances beyond our control.
5.2 If we cancel a Session, we will offer you either a rescheduled Session or a full refund for that Session.
5.3 Where possible, we will try to keep session times, activities, and locations consistent, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
6.1 You must provide accurate and up-to-date information about any allergies, medical conditions, or additional needs your child has at the time of booking. You must notify us immediately in writing of any changes.
6.2 Given that some sessions include cooking activities, it is particularly important that all allergy information is accurate and complete.
6.3 If your child requires medication during a Session, it must be clearly labelled, and — unless otherwise agreed with us in writing — your child should be able to administer it themselves.
6.4 Parents are solely responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact details on Tarlatan’s records are up to date and must provide up-to-date emergency contact details, and ensure these are reachable for the duration of any Session your child attends. If your child is unwell or has an accident requiring treatment, we will contact you using these details.
6.5 Children participate in activities at their own risk. If you are ever unsure whether your child should take part in a particular activity, please consult your GP before booking.
6.6 Parents are solely responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact details on Tarlatan’s records are up to date.
7.1 We will only take, use, or share photographs or video of your child with your explicit, separate consent, collected at the time of booking or in person.
7.2 See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle and store this consent, and how to withdraw it at any time.
9.1 We want every child to feel safe and included at Tarlatan. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to refuse a child’s continued participation in a Session where behaviour poses a risk to their own safety or the safety and wellbeing of other children or staff.
9.2 Where possible, we will discuss any behavioural concerns with you directly before taking this step.
13.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. Where we make a material change, we will let you know by email before it takes effect for any future Booking Period.
13.2 Tarlatan reserves the right to make changes to the timetable, the teaching staff, the advertised programme or the programme delivery mechanism in the event of illness or other circumstances beyond our control.
14.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
14.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will fall within the jurisdiction of the English courts.
14.3 Tarlatan Activity fees are reviewed annually and may be increased each year.
14.4 These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties, which supersedes and extinguishes all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter.
